Palm PDA

The word 'Palm' has become practically synonymous with the word 'PDA' due to the popularity of the original Palm Pilot, which Palm introduced in the mid 1990's. Palm PDAs are considered generally less expensive and simpler to use than any other type of PDA. Palms PDA's tend to be at the lower in of the market $100-400. Many 3rd party companies make thousands of software titles and accessories for use with Palm PDAs.

Features of Palm PDAs include Hot sync, Palm's synchronization system for uploading data between your Palm PDA and desktop computer. Hot Sync uses a serial port, although some of the higher end Palms include USB cradles and SD expansion slots. Palm PDA standard applications are address book, date book, to do list and a handwriting program called Graffiti. All Palm PDA applications are very easy to learn and use. Higher end Palms offer internal cameras, color screens and audio capabilities. There's no better relatively inexpensive way to organize your existence than with a Palm PDA.

PDA Software

PDA software can enormously increase your PDA's functions capacity and skill set. Every PDA comes with basic programs to help you keep track of contacts and organize your schedule. However, there's a wide range of additional programs available for use including PDA Productivity Software, graphics software, map software and PDA Games software.
