Visor PDA

Visor makes the popular Handspring PDAs. Handspring uses a Palm OS interface; the Visor company was actually begun by former Palm professionals. Handspring current features the Treo PDA series which ranges in price from $100-$500, depending on features.

The basic model, the Treo Communicator phone, is very much like a basic Palm PDA with the added benefit of a phone. Email, text messaging and wireless web all are easily do-able with the Treo Communicator. Higher end Treos, while still Palm OS based, combine a few more of the features more common to a PocketPC PDA. A high end Treo has 16 mb memory and 12-bit color with a 320 x 240 pixel screen. A Handspring Treo would be an excellent choice for someone who would like a super-phone/organizer.

PDA Software

PDA software can enormously increase your PDA's functions capacity and skill set. Every PDA comes with basic programs to help you keep track of contacts and organize your schedule.
